Start an ACEO scene in California
ACEOs are small, cheap to make, and easy to trade, which makes them perfect for meetups. Here are a few ways to gather people around making and swapping cards.
- 01
Host an ACEO paint-and-sip
Swap the big canvas for 2.5"x3.5" cards. Everyone leaves with a finished piece in one sitting, which is exactly why ACEOs work for a casual night out.
- 02
Run a monthly card swap
A recurring trade meet at a coffee shop or library. Bring a few cards, trade for ones you love. Low stakes, high repeat attendance.
- 03
Share a farmers-market booth
ACEOs are cheap to make and easy to browse, so a small table of originals sells well next to produce and crafts. Split a booth to lower the cost.
- 04
Put up a coffee-shop or library show
Mini-art fits mini-walls. A rotating ACEO display in a local cafe or branch library gets your work in front of a steady, local crowd.
- 05
Join or start a local art walk
Many towns run monthly art walks. A pop-up ACEO table is a low-commitment way to test the waters and meet other makers.
